Alright I got my act together and uploaded a bunch of paintings. It's been a quite fabulous day.
- Ran errands and got photos taken of some paintings, although one of them flew off almost into oblivion. I envy the people watching me run across the parking lot after it.
- Played videogames with Nick. Huzzah for getting to be superheroes and getting to pick up enemies and beat other enemies with their bodies.
- Went to dinner with Danielle and then went shopping, or more like she went shopping and I was awed by how the eighties came back in neon f-ing colors. In a way quite fab, in another way it's like a bad acid trip at a disco night at the bowling alley.
- Watched "Juno" for the first time with Danielle and ruining the moment with a "Wow, look... She's 16 and found the love of her life and we're 22 and still single."
- Hanging out with Brandon and getting to sit around and chat about whatever and listen to good music while getting my head scritched.
- Listening to Tom Waits who is my new ear porn while uploading photos. There's something about the gravel-like quality of his voice that's just a-mazing and so sexy.

Holy shit!!!
OMG! My senior thesis show? Totally up right now. You know what that means? I'm effing graduating!!! Get pumped! No more classes to go to! No more goddamned marketing projects that I want to dish my eye out with a spoon! No more dealing with video art! No more having to pretend to be nice to people I actually hate just so I can get a better grade!
PS - My work in the thesis show? It looks way hot. The only problem is that some metals major was like trying to take over all the 3D space with like really small pieces... Not cool. AND all the lights, I had to move more lights onto the racks just so you could see my damned pieces. Jeezy petes. So

So I'm getting caught up. I'm finishing up a stop animation project for my animation class and getting my trips squared away. I made it into the Minnetrista show amazingly... My stuff was too weird for the juror so who knows how it made it in. I also put in everything for the Women's Show and the Postcard competition today. So now I just have to sit back and wait on those. Then there's the student show, the paper show, and my senior thesis and I should be good!
I've gotten a couple of job offers already so it's looking promising for me at least. My portfolio is almost completed, just editing on my resume and artist statements. Everything els
Progress Report for ya
So the solo show was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who came out, much appreciated. I also would like to say that I looked fabulous in my snazzy dress. The same day of the openings I had a review with Sean Foley from Columbus and he seemed to really enjoy my stuff. Which I thought was great.
The next big things on my plate are the Minnetrista Juried Show, the women's show, and getting ready for NYC and SPE. Not to mention my senior thesis show. However I now feel on my way with that one, I have four of the ten shoots done. Woot for mass progress! Feeling pretty good about the work getting done as well. Just updated a couple of photos and
Too much cake to eat
So it's been awesome, along with the solo show I got another two group shows, which I won't lie... So much easier to deal with. However what isn't easier to deal with is that I have two openings now on Thursday night. So I'll have to stop by the group show and maybe do a little advertising of my other show and truck it back there. Who knows!
I got the last week for my senior thesis show as well, so I have the max time to get everything I need done. Which would be amazing.
And I'm just getting over being sick this weekend. Which is really no good.
